NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs (ILFR7H) are engineered to provide the ultimate combination of performance, fuel efficiency, and service life for OE applications. These plugs feature a fine-wire iridium-tipped center electrode that is six times harder than platinum, ensuring a stable spark even under the high-cylinder pressures of turbocharged engines. A platinum pad on the ground electrode facilitates even wear, making these ideal for modern distributorless ignition systems.
Built to withstand extreme thermal stress, the 5245 spark plug utilizes a high-grade pure alumina silicate ceramic insulator for superior strength and heat transfer. The 98% pure copper core aids in rapid heat removal to prevent pre-ignition and fouling, while trivalent metal plating protects against corrosion and seizing in the cylinder head.
