NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs (KR8BI) provide an OE-specified ignition solution designed for maximum longevity and consistent performance. Each plug features a laser-welded iridium-tipped center electrode—a material six times harder than platinum—paired with a platinum pad on the ground electrode. This combination ensures even wear and superior durability in high-demand engines and distributorless ignition systems.
- Iridium Center Electrode: Provides high durability and a consistently stable spark for improved throttle response.
- Platinum Ground Electrode: Laser-welded platinum chip on the ground electrode ensures a long service life and resists electrical erosion.
- Copper Core: 98% pure copper core aids in heat dissipation to prevent overheating and pre-ignition.
- High-Grade Ceramic: Pure alumina silicate ceramic insulator provides superior strength and thermal conductivity.
- Corrosion Protection: Trivalent metal plating provides anti-corrosion and anti-seizing properties for easier removal.
