Utilizing Cometic’s AFM (Aluminum Foamette Material), this gasket features a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to a precision aluminum core. This construction provides the structural integrity of a metal shim with the superior conformability of a synthetic rubber, allowing it to seal minor surface irregularities without the need for additional sealants or RTV.
Designed for professional-grade reliability, the AFM material maintains high torque retention to prevent vacuum leaks or pressure loss at the intake flange. With an 85% recovery rate, it effectively manages the thermal expansion and contraction cycles common in the RB26 cylinder head and manifold assembly.
