The Mishimoto Race Intercooler Kit is a comprehensive cooling upgrade designed to replace the restrictive factory setup on the Mitsubishi Evolution 7/8/9. Engineered for high-performance applications, this kit supports vehicles from stock power levels up to 600 whp. The assembly features a large 3.5-inch thick bar-and-plate core with cast aluminum end tanks, designed for optimal air dispersion and minimal pressure drop.
Testing on a 350 whp vehicle demonstrated an 8 whp and 10 wtq increase in power alongside a 28°F (16°C) reduction in intake temperatures compared to the stock unit. This kit includes lightweight mandrel-bent aluminum upper and lower intercooler pipes to improve airflow and turbocharger spool. High-grade silicone couplers are included to ensure reliable performance under high boost and extreme temperatures.
