Eliminate heat soak and prevent boost leaks with the Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit. Designed specifically for the MK5 and MK6 generations, this intercooler replaces the restrictive and failure-prone factory tube-and-fin heat exchanger. While the original plastic end tanks are prone to cracking under high boost, Mishimoto utilizes fully cast aluminum end tanks to ensure long-term durability and structural integrity.

The upgraded bar-and-plate core provides a significant increase in cooling capacity, featuring 46% more core volume and 97% more external fin surface area compared to stock. To maximize efficiency, an internal air diverter is cast into the end tanks to ensure uniform airflow across the entire core. This results in a 20°F drop in charge air temperatures and a 9% improvement in flow. The kit includes 5-layer silicone couplers and a CNC-machined adapter for a secure fit to factory piping.
