The Injen SES5040ICPBLK intercooler piping kit is a direct-fit performance upgrade designed to replace restrictive factory plumbing. By utilizing mandrel-bent 6061-T6 aluminum, this kit eliminates the airflow turbulence and rust potential found in stock components. The stepped design transitions from 2.25-inch to 2.50-inch piping to optimize charge air velocity, resulting in improved throttle response and decreased turbo lag.
This comprehensive kit includes both hot and cold side pipes, featuring beaded tube ends to ensure secure coupler retention under high boost pressures. Injen includes their automotive-grade silicone couplers, which offer superior resistance to heat, oil, and fuel compared to standard materials. Every kit is manufactured in Pomona, California, and features a precision CNC-machined air temperature sensor flange for a seamless installation using factory mounting points.
