The factory cold-side intercooler pipe on the 1.6L EcoBoost is a weak point in the charge system, constructed from thin plastic with restrictive bends that impede airflow and are prone to boost leaks over time. The Mishimoto cold-side intercooler pipe kit replaces this component with a 2.5-inch mandrel-bent aluminum assembly designed to maximize flow and withstand increased boost pressures. Testing shows gains of 7 whp and 8 wtq over the stock configuration with no additional tuning required.

This kit is engineered for both performance and versatility. It features a CNC-machined flange for the factory pressure sensor and a dedicated port for methanol injection or a boost gauge. To clean up the engine bay, Mishimoto includes a silicone hose and CNC-machined plug for a complete sound symposer delete. The system installs in under 30 minutes using the included heavy-duty silicone couplers and stainless steel T-bolt clamps, providing a secure, leak-free connection for both stock and Mishimoto performance intercoolers.
