Vibrant Performance horizontal flow air-to-air intercooler cores are engineered for custom forced induction applications requiring high thermal efficiency and structural integrity. This core utilizes heavy-duty bar and plate construction, which is more resilient to high boost pressures and road debris than traditional tube and fin designs.
To maximize heat exchange, the core features a unique dual-fin configuration. The ambient air path uses a louvered fin design to increase surface area contact, while the internal charge path utilizes an offset fin design to facilitate rapid heat transfer with minimal pressure drop. With a 25% increase in fin density, this core (part number 12838) provides the cooling capacity needed for high-horsepower builds without sacrificing airflow.
