The Vibrant Performance 12861 Vertical Flow Air-to-Air Intercooler Core is designed for high-performance forced induction builds requiring efficient thermal management and high-flow characteristics. Rated for applications up to approximately 625 HP, this core utilizes a robust bar and plate construction to withstand high boost pressures and harsh operating conditions.
To maximize heat exchange, Vibrant employs a specialized fin configuration. The ambient air path uses a unique louvered fin design that significantly increases the core's available surface area for cooling. On the charge path, an offset fin design is used to promote heat transfer while ensuring minimal pressure loss across the core. This balance is critical for maintaining turbocharger efficiency and lower intake air temperatures.
