The Skyjacker Softride (L40FS) leaf spring is engineered to enhance ride quality and suspension flex without compromising load capacity or durability. Unlike traditional leaf springs that often cause binding and a harsh ride, Softride springs utilize a progressive multileaf pack design and precision-tapered leaf ends to distribute loads more evenly and increase flexibility at the leaf tips.
- High-Tensile American Steel: Manufactured with American steel and shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocity to compress the surface, significantly increasing the tensile strength and service life of the spring.
- Bolt-Style Spring Clips: These eliminate the friction and binding common with standard "C" style bend clips, allowing for smoother suspension cycling and maximum wheel travel.
- Progressive Rate Design: Engineered to provide a compliant ride on various terrains while maintaining a load capacity equal to or greater than OE specifications.
- Precision Tapering: Leaves are tapered over their entire length to reduce stress concentrations and prevent one leaf from digging into the one above it.
