Skyjacker Softride leaf springs are engineered to provide a significant improvement in ride quality and wheel travel without sacrificing durability. These progressive multi-leaf packs are manufactured using high-grade American steel and undergo a specialized shot-peening process. By bombarding the steel with high-velocity pellets, the surface is compressed to increase tensile strength and extend the service life of the spring.
Unlike standard designs that use restrictive "C" bend clips, Softride springs feature bolt-style spring clips to eliminate binding and friction. Each leaf is tapered along its entire length, allowing for more flex at the ends and preventing the "digging" effect common in non-tapered packs. This design ensures even load distribution and a smoother transition through the suspension cycle while maintaining or exceeding original equipment load capacities.
