Skyjacker Softride leaf springs are engineered to provide maximum wheel travel and superior ride quality without compromising durability. Each spring is constructed from high-grade American steel and undergoes a high-velocity shot-peening process with hard steel pellets. This process compresses the surface of the steel to significantly increase tensile strength and extend the service life of the spring under heavy articulation.
Unlike standard designs that use restrictive C-style bend clips, Softride springs utilize bolt-style spring clips to eliminate binding and friction. The individual leaves are tapered across their entire length, allowing for increased flex at the leaf ends and more even load distribution. This progressive multi-leaf design ensures a smoother ride while maintaining a load capacity equal to or greater than the original equipment.
