The ARP 151-5404 Main Stud Kit provides the essential bottom-end clamping force required for high-performance Ford 2.0L Zetec engines. By utilizing high-strength studs rather than factory bolts, you ensure more accurate torque loading and virtually eliminate the main cap walk that can lead to catastrophic bearing failure under high-RPM or high-boost conditions.
Each stud is manufactured from premium 8740 chrome moly steel and heat-treated to 200,000 psi tensile strength. To ensure maximum fatigue life and thread integrity, the threads are rolled after the heat-treatment process. This kit is an essential upgrade for any engine rebuild where reliability and structural integrity are priorities.
