The ARP 208-5404 Main Stud Kit is a critical upgrade for securing the bottom end of your Acura B-series non-VTEC engine. Factory main bolts are prone to stretching under high-load conditions, which can lead to main cap walk and improper crankshaft alignment. By replacing the OE hardware with these high-strength studs, you ensure consistent clamping force and superior structural integrity for the main bearing caps.
Each stud is manufactured from 8740 chrome moly steel and heat-treated to a 200,000 psi tensile strength. To ensure maximum fatigue life and accuracy, the threads are rolled after the heat-treating process rather than cut. The kit includes all necessary hardware to stabilize the rotating assembly in high-RPM or forced-induction applications.
