The ARP 201-5401 Main Stud Kit is a critical upgrade for any 1.6L BMW engine build where reliability and high-RPM performance are the priority. Unlike factory torque-to-yield (TTY) bolts that must be discarded after every use, these high-strength studs provide a much more accurate and consistent clamping force. This prevents main cap walk and ensures the crankshaft stays properly aligned under heavy loads.
- Designed specifically for BMW N12, N14, N16, and N18 1.6L engine blocks
- Replaces factory main cap hardware for improved bottom-end stability
- Ensures consistent clamping force to maintain bearing alignment
- Complete kit includes all necessary studs, 12-point nuts, and parallel-ground washers
