Ensuring the bottom end of your engine remains stable under high-load conditions is critical for performance and longevity. The ARP 244-5400 Main Stud Kit provides the superior clamping force needed to prevent main cap walk and protect your crankshaft bearings. Unlike factory bolts that twist during torqueing, these studs remain stationary as the nuts are tightened, resulting in more accurate and consistent preload across the main caps.
- Manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel for extreme durability
- Heat-treated to a tensile strength of 200,000 psi
- Precision centerless ground for perfectly concentric fitment
- Thread-rolled after heat-treat for significantly higher fatigue strength than cut threads
- Black oxide finish for corrosion resistance
- Includes premium 12-point nuts and hardened parallel-ground washers
