The ARP 152-5402 Main Stud Kit is a critical upgrade for high-performance Ford 4.0L XR6 engine builds. By replacing the factory main cap bolts with high-strength studs, you significantly increase the clamping force on the main bearing caps. This prevents "cap walk" and maintains proper bearing alignment under high-RPM or high-boost conditions where OE fasteners are prone to stretching.
Engineered for superior fatigue strength and durability, these studs provide consistent loading and allow for more accurate, repeatable torque readings during the assembly process. This kit is essential for ensuring the structural integrity of the bottom end in street, strip, or circuit-track applications.
