Fits Ford Modular 4.6L and 5.4L 3-valve engines with 4-bolt main caps and a windage tray.
Protect your engine's bottom end from the stresses of high-RPM use or forced induction with the ARP 156-5901 Main Stud Kit. Designed to replace factory main bolts, these studs provide significantly more accurate torque loading and eliminate main cap walk. Unlike bolts, studs allow for consistent clamping force by ensuring the fastener is not twisted during the torquing process.
Each stud is manufactured from premium 8740 chrome moly steel and heat-treated to a 200,000 psi tensile strength. The threads are rolled after heat-treatment, resulting in a fastener with 10 times better fatigue life than those with threads cut before heat-treating. This specific kit is engineered to accommodate the factory windage tray, ensuring proper clearance and secure mounting for your 3V Modular build.
