The Radium Engineering Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit is an application-specific solution for the Mazda RX-7 FD3S, designed to manage oil vapor and moisture within the PCV breather system. By plumbing this single catch can into the PCV hose, you prevent oil blow-by from entering the intake manifold, which helps maintain fuel octane levels and reduces carbon buildup on the rotary engine's internal components.
This kit features Radium’s patent-pending Fluid Lock technology. Unlike traditional catch cans, the Fluid Lock mechanism uses a specialized internal float to prevent accumulated fluids from being drawn back into the engine during high-G cornering or if the reservoir reaches capacity. The system is a direct bolt-in installation, utilizing a vehicle-specific bracket that mounts to factory points in the FD3S engine bay.
