While the factory liquid-to-liquid oil cooler is sufficient for daily commuting, it often fails to maintain safe operating temperatures during aggressive driving or track sessions. This kit replaces the stock setup with a dedicated air-to-oil heat exchanger, significantly increasing cooling capacity and engine longevity.
The system utilizes a Mishimoto sandwich plate with a rear-mounted thermostat that activates at 185°F (85°C), ensuring your oil reaches operating temperature quickly before circulating through the cooler. The kit features a large 19-row cooler mounted in the front bumper via robust, application-specific brackets for maximum airflow. Installation is a full bolt-on process and includes a silicone bypass hose for the factory liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger to maintain a clean engine bay.
