Engineered specifically for the S550 chassis, this kit utilizes a high-efficiency bar-and-plate heat exchanger mounted in the upper grille. This strategic placement ensures maximum airflow while leaving ample clearance for secondary cooling components like supercharger heat exchangers. The included application-specific mounting bracket doubles as a diversion panel, forcing ambient air through the cooler core for improved thermal management.
To ensure engine oil reaches operating temperature quickly and stays there, the kit features a Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plate. This prevents overcooling in street driving scenarios while providing full flow to the cooler once oil temperatures rise. The system is connected via pre-terminated stainless steel braided lines with -10AN fittings, providing a leak-free conduit capable of withstanding high-pressure environments.
