During normal operation, crankcase pressure is vented back through the intake track. This process often introduces oil vapors into the intake tube and manifold runners, which can coat internal components and effectively lower your fuel's octane rating. The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator intercepts these vapors using a sophisticated multi-stage filtration system. Vapors first pass through a fine mesh stainless steel screen, then through a 1/2-inch thick, 1/16-inch aluminum honeycomb filter. This causes the oil to coalesce into heavier droplets that fall into the 3oz reservoir, allowing only clean air to reach the intake.

Milled from solid billet aluminum, this unit features a clear anodized finish for durability and a knurled tank base that allows for easy removal and draining. For optimal performance, the reservoir should be drained every 2,000 to 3,000 miles.
