Red Line MT-90 is a full-synthetic 75W90 GL-4 gear oil engineered specifically for manual transmissions and transaxles. It is a popular choice for select Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, VW/Audi, Toyota, and Lotus Elise/Exige vehicles, as well as Mendeola transmissions and Atlas transfer cases. By providing the precise coefficient of friction needed for synchronizer engagement, MT-90 eliminates notchy shifting and improves gear change speed even in cold climates.
Unlike many GL-5 gear oils that contain reactive sulfur compounds, MT-90 is formulated to be completely safe for brass and yellow metal synchronizers. It satisfies the viscosity requirements for 75W90, 80W90, and 90 gear oils, and can be used in applications specifying SAE 40, 10W40, or 15W40 motor oil.
