Red Line MTL 75W80 GL-4 is a full-synthetic manual transmission and transaxle lubricant engineered to provide the correct coefficient of friction for rapid synchronizer engagement. By eliminating the notchy shifting often experienced in cold temperatures, this fluid ensures smoother gear transitions and extended synchro life across a wide range of operating temperatures.
Formulated specifically for manual transmissions, MTL is safe for use with brass and other yellow metal synchronizers, as it lacks the reactive sulfurs found in most GL-5 gear oils that lead to premature component wear. It is a highly compatible fluid that satisfies the gear oil viscosity requirements of 75W and 80W, as well as motor oil viscosities of SAE 30, 10W30, and 5W30.
- API Service Class: GL-4 (also recommended for GL-1 and GL-3 applications)
