Conventional sets utilize high-performance ductile iron top rings with a plasma-moly inlay for reduced friction and increased heat resistance. The inclusion of a Napier-style second ring ensures superior oil scraping compared to standard taper-faced rings, preventing oil migration into the combustion chamber.
