Fits select 2002-2008 Subaru Impreza (WRX, STI, RS, 2.5i, Outback) applications utilizing an EJ257 block with EJ20 cylinder heads.
JE Pistons engineered this forged piston set specifically for Subaru hybrid engine builds, combining the EJ257 short block with EJ20 heads. These 100mm bore pistons are machined from high-tensile 2618 aluminum alloy to withstand the extreme cylinder pressures of forced induction and high-performance racing. Featuring the proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, these pistons minimize friction and rotating mass without compromising structural integrity.
- Bore Diameter: 100mm
- Compression Ratio: 8.5:1 (calculated for EJ257 block/EJ20 head combination)
- Forged Side Relief (FSR) design reduces skirt width and weight while improving strength
- Accumulator groove helps manage combustion gas pressure to minimize ring flutter
- Engineered and machined 100% in the USA from 2618-T6 forged aluminum
- Skirt coating reduces friction, wear, and cold-start operating noise
- Includes JE Pro Seal premium piston rings, heavy-duty wrist pins, and wire locks
