Designed specifically for high-output VW 2.0L TSI turbo engines, this set of four JE Pistons features an 83mm bore (+0.50mm oversize) and a 9.6:1 compression ratio. Forged and machined in the USA from high-tensile 2618 aluminum, these pistons are engineered to withstand the extreme thermal and mechanical loads of performance tuning and increased boost levels.
The Forged Side Relief (FSR) design utilizes a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin to minimize friction and reciprocating weight, improving throttle response and power output. To ensure long-term durability and ring stability, these pistons incorporate an accumulator groove to manage combustion gas pressure and a specialized skirt coating to reduce wear and cylinder wall friction.
