The ACT MB018 Heavy Duty pressure plate is engineered to provide a significant increase in torque capacity while maintaining consistent pedal feel. Using an exclusive diaphragm design, this pressure plate increases clamp load by 20% to 50% over the factory unit. Each diaphragm undergoes a proprietary four-stage heat-treating process to ensure long-term durability and minimize deflection under high-load conditions.
This pressure plate includes the ACT Monoloc, a one-piece wedge collar constructed from hardened chrome-moly steel. The Monoloc replaces the standard two-piece wedge collar and wire ring found in pull-type clutches, providing uniform loading on the release bearing to ensure proper alignment and reliable engagement during aggressive driving or track use.
