The ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate (SB019) is engineered to provide increased clamp load and improved clutch life for high-performance Subaru applications. Featuring an exclusive diaphragm design, this pressure plate increases clamp load by 20% to 50% over the factory unit, making it an ideal choice for modified street vehicles or dedicated track cars. Every diaphragm undergoes a rigorous four-stage heat-treating process to ensure consistent performance and durability under extreme thermal stress.
This pressure plate includes the ACT Monoloc, a one-piece, hardened chrome-moly steel replacement for the standard two-piece wedge collar found in pull-type clutches. The Monoloc provides uniform loading on the bearing to ensure proper alignment and reliable service life, regardless of driving style or vehicle modifications. Precision-stamped covers provide the rigidity needed for consistent pedal feel and predictable engagement.
