The BLOX Racing Block Guard is engineered to reinforce the open-deck design of the H22A engine, providing the cylinder sleeve support necessary for high-performance builds. By stabilizing the top of the cylinder walls, this precision-machined component prevents cylinder "walk" and sleeve cracking, which are common points of failure in high-boost, nitrous, or high-RPM applications.
This block guard transforms the block into a semi-closed deck configuration, improving head gasket sealing and maintaining bore geometry under extreme combustion pressures. It is designed with strategically placed coolant passages to ensure consistent heat dissipation and prevent localized hot spots, protecting your engine's cooling efficiency while increasing its structural integrity.
