This kit includes both the left and right side guards to provide critical reinforcement for the factory open-deck block, bridging the gap between the cylinder walls and the outer block casting.
Designed for high-performance and forced induction builds, these guards effectively convert an open-deck block into a semi-closed deck. This significantly reduces cylinder sleeve walk and bore distortion under high boost or extreme RPM, protecting against head gasket failure and cracked bores. Each guard is CNC-machined for a precise press-fit and features integrated coolant passages to maintain efficient thermal management and prevent hotspots.
