These plugs feature an iridium-tipped center electrode combined with a platinum pad or fine wire tip on the ground electrode, providing exceptional wear resistance and a stable spark even in the high-stress environment of distributorless ignition systems. The iridium construction is six times harder than platinum, ensuring the electrode gap remains consistent over a longer service life than standard OE plugs.
