NGK Laser Iridium High Ignitability spark plugs are engineered to provide a combination of high-performance ignition and extreme longevity. These OE-specific plugs feature a laser-welded iridium-tipped center electrode—a material six times harder than platinum—ensuring stable spark delivery and reduced voltage requirement over the life of the plug. To ensure even wear in distributorless ignition systems (DIS), the ground electrode is fitted with a raised platinum pad.

The construction utilizes a high-grade pure alumina silicate ceramic insulator for superior thermal conductivity and dielectric strength. A 98% pure copper core aids in heat dissipation to prevent pre-ignition and fouling. For durability in harsh engine environments, the housing is finished with trivalent metal plating to provide long-lasting anti-corrosion and anti-seizing properties during installation and removal.
