This 13860 mandrel bend is specifically optimized for high-heat environments, performing reliably at prolonged operating temperatures between 800°F and 1500°F (427°C to 816°C), making it the industry standard for forced induction applications and high-performance exhaust manifolds.
The 321 alloy features superior corrosion resistance and withstands tensile stress and thermal fatigue better than 304 series stainless. Mandrel bending ensures a uniform cross-section throughout the radius to maintain maximum exhaust gas velocity and minimize backpressure.
