SPL Parts Front Tension Rods (TR) provide a significant range of front caster adjustment, allowing for precise alignment to optimize turn-in response and correct for factory variances. By replacing the soft, compliant rubber bushings with low-friction FK Spherical Bearings, these arms eliminate bushing deflection under braking and cornering loads for a more communicative and responsive steering feel. Integrated stainless steel spacers also allow for fine-tuning of the vehicle's anti-dive geometry.
The rods are CNC machined from billet 2024-T351 aluminum alloy and gun-drilled to minimize unsprung weight while maintaining superior structural rigidity. SPL utilizes an exclusive 360-degree rotating clamp design for easy alignment adjustments, secured by blue anodized titanium hardware. The FK JMX hardened high-misalignment rod ends feature a chemically bonded PTFE/Teflon liner to ensure quiet operation, low friction, and an extremely high dynamic load capacity.
