Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the factory unit, this thermostat activates at 180°F (82.2°C) compared to the standard 188.6°F (87°C) OEM temperature. By opening earlier, it allows coolant to circulate through the block sooner, helping to maintain lower overall operating temperatures and combat heat soak during spirited street driving or track sessions.
