The Mishimoto MMTS-MIA-99 Racing Thermostat is designed to improve cooling efficiency in both naturally aspirated and forced induction Mazda engines. By opening at a lower temperature than the factory unit, this thermostat allows coolant to circulate through the engine and radiator earlier, helping to mitigate heat soak and maintain more consistent operating temperatures during spirited driving or track sessions.
This thermostat is a direct-fit replacement for the stock unit, requiring no modifications for installation. It is specifically calibrated to activate at 177°F (80.5°C) compared to the standard 195°F (90.5°C) OEM activation point. Like all Mishimoto cooling components, this thermostat is backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty for long-term reliability.
