This unit is engineered to activate at 185°F (85°C), opening earlier than the 192°F factory thermostat to allow coolant to circulate through the engine sooner. This reduced activation point is ideal for vehicles operating in hot climates or those frequently subjected to high-stress towing and hauling conditions.
The assembly features a durable 6061 CNC-machined aluminum housing that replaces the standard factory component. The low-temperature thermostat comes pre-installed in the housing to simplify the installation process and ensure a precise fit against the engine block.
