Fits select 1997-2005 Ford E-350 Econoline, F-250/F-350 Super Duty, and Excursion models equipped with E4OD or 4R100 automatic transmissions.

Factory Ford E4OD and 4R100 transmissions are often calibrated for soft, passenger-car shift characteristics which can lead to excessive clutch slippage and heat buildup when hauling heavy loads or towing. The Banks Power TransCommand is a specialized automatic-transmission-management computer designed to solve this. Unlike standard shift kits, this electronic module actively senses the vehicle load and commands the transmission to increase hydraulic pressure accordingly.

The TransCommand delivers smooth, firm shifts during light-throttle operation and solid, decisive gear changes under full-throttle or heavy-towing conditions. By eliminating excessive clutch slippage, it significantly reduces internal wear and extends the service life of the transmission. Built with high-temperature, solid-state components, the module is engineered for the rigors of heavy-duty truck use and is a required component for Banks Sidewinder turbo, Stinger, and PowerPack systems on 6.9L/7.3L and Power Stroke engines.
