The FTI Level 4.5 TH400 transmission is a heavy-duty three-speed automatic engineered for high-output drag racing and street-strip applications. Rated to handle up to 1100HP, this transmission provides the internal strength required for high-torque launches and consistent pass-to-pass performance. It features a reverse manual valve body for positive gear selection and a Sportsman transbrake to enable maximum-effort launches.
This build includes a GM Ultrabell, an SFI-rated bellhousing that replaces the standard cast-in bellhousing. This upgrade provides significantly improved case rigidity and satisfies safety requirements for high-performance track use. Every Level 4.5 unit is built to exacting tolerances to ensure reliable power transfer under extreme racing conditions.
