The Mishimoto turbo blanket is designed to manage the extreme thermal energy produced by the 6.6L Duramax stock turbocharger. By insulating the turbine housing, this blanket keeps exhaust gases hotter, maintaining higher gas velocity for improved turbo spool and overall efficiency. Simultaneously, it significantly lowers engine bay temperatures to protect sensitive cooling components and electrical systems from heat soak.
