The Skunk2 Alpha Series Valve Spring and Titanium Retainer Kit is engineered to provide the valvetrain stability required for high-performance D-series builds. Designed to prevent valve float at engine speeds exceeding 10,000 RPM, this kit is essential for engines with aggressive cam profiles or increased rev limits. The Alpha Valve Springs are manufactured from high-tensile, Japanese-milled chrome-silicone wire, while the Alpha Titanium Retainers are CNC-machined from ultrasonically inspected medical-grade titanium to significantly reduce reciprocating mass.
Each retainer features radius-cut edges for increased rocker arm clearance and strategically positioned lightening grooves to minimize weight without compromising structural integrity. Utilizing FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and 3D CAD modeling, Skunk2 ensures optimal strength-to-weight ratios and precise installed heights for every component in this kit.
