The Skunk2 Pro Series XP (Extra Pressure) Racing Valve Spring Kit is engineered for high-performance Honda B-series VTEC engines, particularly those utilizing forced induction or extreme high-RPM operation. These dual valve springs are the culmination of nearly two decades of racing experience, designed specifically to prevent valve float and maintain valvetrain stability at engine speeds exceeding 11,000 RPM.

Each spring is manufactured from Japanese-milled, super-clean chrome-silicone wire. The inner and outer springs are mated via a slight interference fit with differing frequencies to effectively dampen harmonics. The manufacturing process includes eddy-current inspection, heat treatment, shot-peening, and chemical polishing, followed by a specialized nitriding process for maximum resistance to load loss and fatigue. These springs feature a higher seat pressure of 93 lbs at 1.320 inches, providing the necessary tension for high-lift camshafts while maintaining a safe coil bind height.
