The Banks Power BigHead Wastegate Actuator Kit (MPN: 24329) is engineered to solve the common issue of wastegate blow-open under high-boost conditions. While factory actuators rely on weak springs that allow the valve to unseat prematurely, limiting mid-range torque, the BigHead replaces the entire unit with a heavy-duty design that maintains higher peak boost and improves acceleration.
By doubling the stock diaphragm area and spring pressure, this actuator keeps the wastegate valve seated longer, allowing the turbocharger to build boost faster. This results in superior pulling power and torque right from idle through the mid-range. Unlike bleed orifices or "boost foolers" that simply mask performance issues, the BigHead provides mechanical control for consistent, reliable boost management.
