This specialized coating is designed to reduce friction and heat during extreme operating conditions, providing an additional layer of protection against metal-to-metal contact. These are HX-series bearings, specifically clearanced to provide an extra .001" of oil clearance compared to standard bearings, which is essential for high-revving or forced induction applications that require increased oil flow.
