The ACT VW9-HDSS clutch kit is engineered for enthusiasts who demand increased torque capacity and durability without sacrificing daily street drivability. This kit pairs ACT's Heavy Duty pressure plate with their most popular Performance Street sprung disc. The pressure plate features a proprietary diaphragm design that undergoes a four-stage heat-treating process to maximize clamp load, reduce deflection, and ensure long-term consistency.
The Performance Street disc is constructed with premium organic friction materials containing high copper content for improved heat transfer. A steel-backed lining provides superior burst strength, while the reduced marcel design allows for faster shift action. The sprung-hub center helps dampen driveline vibrations for smoother engagement on the street.
