The ACT ZX6-HDG6 Heavy Duty race clutch kit is engineered for high-performance applications where rapid shifting and high heat capacity are critical. This system utilizes the ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate, featuring a four-stage heat-treated diaphragm and precision cover stampings for increased clamp load, reduced deflection, and consistent pedal feel. The 6-pad spring-centered race disc is designed to damp torsional vibrations while maintaining durability under harsh conditions using wraparound spring windows and thickened retainer stampings.
This kit includes the Monoloc one-piece wedge collar, a hardened Chrome-moly steel upgrade that replaces the standard two-piece pull-type collar. This provides uniform loading and maintains proper bearing alignment regardless of driving style. While engagement is more aggressive than a street disc, it significantly improves shifting speed and thermal management for high-demand builds.
