The ACT NZ1-XTSS clutch kit combines the Xtreme (XT) heavy-duty pressure plate with a Performance Street (SS) sprung disc to provide a significant increase in clamp load without sacrificing street drivability. The Xtreme pressure plate features a proprietary diaphragm design that undergoes a specialized four-stage heat-treating process, ensuring consistent pedal feel and reduced deflection even under high-demand conditions.
The included Performance Street disc is engineered for durability and thermal management. It utilizes premium organic friction material with high copper content for superior heat transfer, supported by a steel-backed lining for high burst strength. The reduced marcel design allows for quicker shift action, while the sprung hub absorbs driveline vibrations for quieter operation. This kit is designed for enthusiasts who require a reliable clutch for both daily driving and spirited use.
