The ACT 6-pad sprung race disc is designed for the demanding requirements of high-horsepower street and competitive track use. This disc provides aggressive engagement and supports rapid shifting, utilizing premium ceramic friction materials to achieve high heat tolerance and moderate wear rates. Compared to typical organic materials, this ceramic race disc holds 28% more torque and offers significantly higher burst strength.
To ensure long-term reliability under stress, ACT engineers this disc with wraparound spring windows, thicker retainer stampings, and a heat-treated, spring steel drive plate. These components work together to reduce stress concentrations and increase overall structural integrity. Note that this race-spec disc may produce mild to moderate gear rattle.
