The ACT ME3-HDSS kit is engineered for drivers seeking a significant increase in torque capacity without sacrificing street drivability. This kit combines ACT's most popular Heavy Duty pressure plate with a Performance Street Sprung disc to deliver a firm but manageable pedal feel and improved engagement. The pressure plate features an exclusive diaphragm design that undergoes a rigorous four-stage heat-treating process, maximizing clamp load and reducing deflection for consistent performance throughout the clutch life.
The included Performance Street disc is constructed with premium organic materials featuring high copper content for superior heat transfer. Steel-backed linings provide high burst strength and durability, while a reduced marcel design allows for faster shift action. For added reliability, this kit includes the ACT Monoloc collar, a one-piece chrome-moly steel upgrade that replaces the standard two-piece wedge collar found in pull-type clutches to ensure proper bearing alignment and uniform loading.
